Hi All,
This looks like the way of the future, so as a nearly graduated PR student and with my foot in the industry door, what better way to keep in touch with the world than joining the blogosphere!
Unfortunately, what we learn at university or college is almost irrelevant to real world pr. Research and proper evaluation seems to be something only mentioned behind closed doors. Yet these are the two most important aspects (I believe) of any pr campaign. If we don’t know who we are communicating to/with and why, how are we expected to deliver meaningful two-way communications plans?Â
And should it be in everyones (both us and our client)Â best interests to see if what we have developed and delivered achieved its objectives? Is what we did the best way, or is there other ways we could have done things? Only proper evaluation methods can give us the answer.
Smitty.Â
